CALL FOR ENTRIES – "Off the Wall"

On Friday, July 11th, 2014 Washington ArtWorks will open a unique exhibit and art buying experience – two floors and two galleries full of “Off the Wall”, an open call gallery exhibition of work priced at $500 or less. Photography, painting, mixed media and more are welcome for this exhibition at Washington Artworks. “Off the Wall” will be an open call exhibit and participants will deliver their work and place it on Tuesday, July 1st between 10am and 8pm. Early birds will get the best placements in one of our two galleries, one hanging rod for up to three pieces, up to three feet across and floor to ceiling for just $40 (6 pieces for $80.) On Friday, August 1st, 2014 Washington ArtWorks will open “Around the World: The Art of Travel”, a juried gallery exhibition in the second floor gallery to display the beauty of our world, from all countries and continents. Photography, painting, mixed media and more will be considered for this exhibition. “Travel” will be juried by acclaimed photographer Alexander Vasiljev, and cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries. $200, first place - $100, second place - $50, third place. On Friday, August 1st, 2014 Washington ArtWorks will open “Re-Made and Recycled”, a juried gallery exhibition in the third floor JBG/Urban by Nature Gallery. Photography, painting, mixed media and more will be considered for this exhibition. “Re-Made and Recycled” will be juried by acclaimed artistEric Celarier, and cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries. $200, first place - $100, second place - $50, third place.
