During the past 1-2 years, the CMPG has experienced rapid growth; as of December 31, 2014 we had 86 members. Our membership has also become more diverse relative to subject matter, interests, and skills. As was mentioned at our last meeting, we will be changing the method with which member photographs are presented on the CMPG Home Page. The photographs presented with the current implementation of our Home Page are not representative of our significantly larger membership. As a consequence our web site visitors are not, therefore, experiencing the diverse breadth of subject matter, skills, and creativity of our members. The new home page presentation will ensure all members are given the opportunity to have a fair and equitable representation on our home page.

First, to be clear, EVERY member will continue to be able to post images to their personal gallery on the CMPG web site as is presently offered to ALL of our members; there are no limitations imposed on how many photographs you may wish to upload to your personal web page.

In addition to your personal gallery, each month a link will be sent out to all members  with an invitation for each member to upload two of their best images to be displayed on the CMPG homepage. These images will be displayed for one month. By limiting each member to 2 photos per month for the CMPG Home Page, members are motivated to be very selective and choose their best work. The photographs that are uploaded each month do not necessarily have to be recently photographed subject matter; feel free to check your archives for your favorite/best images.

You should have already received the link to upload your two images for the month of February. The images will go live on the homepage on February 7th.

Look forward to seeing your images!
