News from CMPG Member Steve Talabac

CMPG Member Name: Steve Talabac

Our next DSLR Users Group Meeting will be held next week, Thursday April 16 from 7pm - 9pm at the Robinson Nature Center. Sue Izard will give a presentation, and a demo, on how to create a web presence using SmugMug.

"Creating an Effective Web Presence with SmugMug"
Working as a professional photographer the last eight years, Sue has photographed a wide variety of subjects including, high school seniors, family portraits, weddings, commercial product photography, and real estate photography. A recent piece of work will soon be printed in a nationally distributed women's magazine. Having an effective web presence is clearly vital to the success of any commercial photographer. Smugmug is a website service designed with the photographer in mind. It's easy to use and great for your first try at a website. Sue has used Smugmug for 10 years and as any other tool it has its pros and cons. She will present the various features of the Smugmug software, the many different creative opportunities it affords the photographer, touch lightly on a few marketing ideas, and examine the basic business practicalities that the software offers. If you are thinking of starting your own web site for a business, or to simply share your photos with family and fri
ends, this is a presentation not to be missed!
